White Paradise Zanzibar

Located on the idyllic north-east coast of Zanzibar, White Paradise Hotel is a boutique beachfront resort offering serene escapes surrounded by nature. With a strong focus on sustainability and guest comfort, the hotel sought to reduce its environmental footprint and achieve greater energy independence. The goal was to become more independent from the increasingly unstable island grid.

Greenlink ReGen implemented a 91 kWp solar PV system paired with a 180 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS), using 208 solar panels. The system was carefully integrated into the hotel’s infrastructure to preserve its aesthetic while delivering reliable, round-the-clock clean energy.

Thanks to this installation, White Paradise now operates more sustainably—minimizing grid and generator use, lowering emissions, and offering guests a quieter, more eco-friendly experience in paradise as well as significant cost savings due to the savings on grid and diesel consumption.
