Melia Serengeti Lodge

About this project

Perched on the southern slopes of the Nyamuma Hills, Meliá Serengeti Lodge is a luxury eco-lodge that blends modern comfort with the raw beauty of the surrounding savannah. Part of the international Meliá Hotels & Resorts group, the lodge features 50 rooms designed to immerse guests in the wildlife experience while prioritizing sustainability and environmental harmony.

To support the lodge’s operations with clean, off-grid energy, Greenlink ReGen delivered a 490 kWp solar PV system integrated with a 1.4MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). A total of 1,114 solar panels were installed, ensuring maximum efficiency while preserving the natural landscape and guest experience.

This system now provides consistent, quiet, and sustainable power throughout the year, reducing diesel dependency by up to 80% and aligning with Meliá’s global sustainability commitments.
