Kabanga Hospital

About this project

Located in the rural Kigoma region of western Tanzania, Kabanga Hospital is a growing referral hospital serving a wide community with critical healthcare services. Frequent power outages and unstable electricity had long disrupted operations, damaged equipment, and threatened patient care.

As part of a five-year investment program funded by the AFAS Foundation, and in close collaboration with Tweega Medica and the Kabanga Hospital Foundation, Greenlink ReGen installed a 63.36 kWp solar photovoltaic system paired with a 120 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS), using 144 solar panels.

This installation now provides a stable and clean power supply—eliminating the hospital’s daily power cuts and voltage issues. Medical equipment is protected, operating rooms can function without interruption, and the staff can focus fully on patient care. We are proud to support this transformation alongside our dedicated partners.
