About this project
Located in the heart of Dar es Salaam, the International School of Tanganyika (IST) is one of East Africa’s leading educational institutions—known for its academic excellence, global outlook, and commitment to sustainability. In line with its forward-thinking values, IST partnered with Greenlink ReGen to transition toward clean, renewable energy on campus.
Greenlink ReGen installed a 180 kWp solar photovoltaic system, significantly reducing the school’s reliance on grid electricity and diesel generators. This tailored solution supports daily school operations while decreasing emissions and energy costs—demonstrating how solar innovation can thrive even in urban environments.
By investing in solar power, IST not only models environmental leadership for its students but also makes a meaningful contribution toward a greener future for Tanzania.
