Alliance One Factory
About this project
Located in the heart of Morogoro’s industrial zone, Alliance One Tobacco is one of Tanzania’s leading tobacco processing facilities and a key player in the region’s agricultural export sector. With a strong focus on operational efficiency and environmental responsibility, the company sought a renewable energy solution to support its sustainability goals while managing energy costs.
In collaboration with our team, a 570 kWp solar system was implemented and financed through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), enabling Alliance One to benefit from clean, reliable power with zero upfront investment. The system was designed to seamlessly integrate with the factory’s high-energy operations, delivering long-term cost savings and environmental impact reduction.
For Alliance One, the solar installation significantly reduces dependence on the national grid, helping to mitigate the risks associated with power outages and voltage fluctuations common in industrial zones. By generating a stable and consistent supply of clean energy on-site, the system not only enhances operational reliability but also contributes to long-term energy security and sustainability.
